What to expect next from Ministry of Truth
So, as Obama gears up for his next presidential run (as if he has every stopped campaigning), the Democrats are putting together a plan in order to help further their agenda.
Beginning Sunday, the White House will harness every part of the Democratic Party’s machinery to defend President Obama’s budget and portray Republicans as reflexively political, according to party strategists.
A participant in the planning meetings described the push as a successor to Democrats’ message that Rush Limbaugh is the Republican Party leader. “We have exhausted the use of Rush as an attention-getter,” the official said.
Here’s the thing, people, if anything the Democrats were doing was defensible in the eyes of the American public they wouldn’t be strategizing to demonize Republicans, they would be introducing their budgets, policies, programs, and let the public decide. As TigerHawk said, “If their legislation is meritorious, why not make the argument for it directly?
Republicans need to remember this and not get caught up in the fake debate the Democrats plan on creating. Don’t acknowledge their message; stay on yours. Give them the transparency of government they want. Expose the Democrats legislation for the radical affront to American ideals that it inherently will be.
For our country’s sake, I hope that Moe is right.
