B.Frank Is At It, Again
Posted at 4:37 pm, in: AIG, Bailout, Barney Frank, Congress

As I was not running quickly enough to get out of the apartment this morning, I got to catch my boy B.Frank on the TV, again. Thank you Today Show for starting off my day with the rantings of a retarded man.

What I found impossible to swallow was B.Frank’s supposed outrage at the people collecting bonuses for their incompetence and irresponsibility. Aren’t you the same guy advocating for us to bailout the incompetent (or fraudulant) homeowners who irresponsibly bought houses that they couldn’t afford?

According to one source, the only thing you didn’t like about the Treasury’s mortgage bailout plan was that you didn’t think the amount of $50 billion was enough. Wait, didn’t Sen. McCain express similar feelings about the plan not going far enough? Sorry, I’ll try to stay on point.

I’m not saying that people at AIG didn’t make mistakes. I’m not advocating that they deserve bonuses. And, I can’t say that I disagree with B.Frank that they don’t have a right to their jobs. I just can’t stand the double-standard.

I’m sick of the left deciding who is protected and who is not. The people who went out and got liar loans are just as despicable as anyone collecting a bonus at AIG. But, who didn’t see this one coming?

AIG acts surprised that the public doesn’t want their grandchildren’s money spent on retention bonuses, while the public and politicians act surprised that AIG is trying to use their bailout money to pay retention bonuses. Why a company wants to waste so much money retaining employees that got them where they are in the first place, I don’t know. Your business failed. You might want to consider bringing in new help.

But, I guess that’s what happens when private becomes public. This company already failed and instead of being forced to send the losers home, our money was used for exactly this purpose: to keep the losers looking like winners. If AIG was too big to fail before, then what are they now? You, our beloved elected officials, have given them a blank check.

OK, OK, I got it. I know how we can solve the whole problem of you being in Congress (since Massachusetts’ voters seem incapable of voting any scumbag out). Let’s throw a party at the Kennedy’s. At the end of the night, when Teddy is nice and drunk, see if he’ll give you a ride home. Then, well, you know where I’m going with this.
