Mitt Romney, please, shut up!
I don’t have anything against Mitt Romney. Actually, to be honest, I really don’t have an opinion of the guy, at all. But, he thinks we shouldn’t root against Obama?
The Hill reported today:
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) said Wednesday that Republicans shouldn’t oppose President Obama as a reflex and should praise him when he succeeds.
Speaking at the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s (NRSC) spring dinner, Romney was thick on criticism of Obama, but also said Republicans shouldn’t root against the man Romney might well face in the 2012 presidential election.
After offering a few choice words for Obama’s early conduct in office, Romney suggested it’s OK to hope things go well under the new president.
“I also think its important for us to nod to the president when he’s right,” Romney said. “He will not always be wrong.”
I understand why the MSM creates a frenzy when people oppose Obama or say they wish him to fail, but Mitt, don’t act like you don’t understand what we’re saying. I mean, let me get this straight, Mr. Romney, as Republicans we should be supporting a radical agenda that is anti-American and anti-Republican ideals? Shut up.

I think you should understand first what Mitt is saying. He is not in anyway saying that we should support radical anti-American and anti-Republican ideals. He is saying give credit when, and only when, it is due.
Did he not give thick criticism for Obama’s socialistic agendas? Did he not say previously that he hope that Obama’s liberal policies fail, only because they will be bad for America?
Should we be glad that Obama is seeing the light on Afganistan and is finally taking a hardline with Detroit? I think so, because its the right thing. Or should we want to him to continue to make the wrong decisions because we want him to fail because he’s a Democrat?
Essentially Mitt is saying that we need to separate the policy from the individual or political party. Is the policy good? If yes, than we should root for it. Should a good policy fail because it’s from a (bad) person? No. The policy is the most important. Well spoken by a true grown-up.
I would recommend listening to what he’s really saying instead of tell him to shut up.

Mitt Romney criticized Obama for increasing the size and scale of government. He said he agreed with Obama on sending more soliders to Afghanistan, and on talking tough about the need for real restructuring at the car companies. It sounds reasonable to me.
