Jimmy Carter’s Stamp of Approval

It’s never a good sign when Jimmy Carter’s peeps are supportive of a president’s  foreign policy views:

A wide variety of Democratic foreign policy voices, as well as some prominent Republicans, praised Obama’s trip and recent announcements for bringing a new spirit of pragmatism to foreign policy. Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter’s national security advisers, hailed Obama for following a “policy of constructive realism.”

As the article suggested, many Republicans and conservatives are calling Obama naïve. He’s either naïve or incapable of seeing how his worldview, his ideology, is flawed and cannot work.

His “world-please-fogive-us” tour has made us look weak. And, his willingness to endanger our national security in order to get the world to like us only adds to the problem.

Say what you will about President Bush, but he kept us safe. I’m not feeling safe right now. Obama is more concerned about provoking warm, fuzzy feelings as a “citizen of the world” than keeping Americans safe. What’s the threat to terrorists who want to attack us? Our criminal justice system? That doesn’t even scare our own citizens.

He’s slobbering all over the Muslim world with apologies, for what exactly I don’t know. What have we done wrong to Muslims? Falsly Labeled them the “religion of peace?” He’s bowing down to foreign leaders. America just had an attitude problem. “Oh glorious Europe, please, forgive us! I love you! Please, just love me! I mean, us.”

The American public might be right. Maybe people around the world like us more, but that is only because they truly hate us and want to see us weak. And, we have never appeared more weak than we do right now.

  2. Sorry, I have to disagree. Like it or not, we live in a global economy that is in crisis not just the USA. We are all GOD’s children and if we want peace in the world, and I’m certain most people do, we have to reach out in Peace and we all have to work together. Maybe too idealistic from mankind’s perspect, but I applaud Leaders who get the big picture.
