Gerald Walpin: Latest victim of Obama and Chicago Politics

Not that I was trying to ignore it, but I hate being white noise. I guess I can’t avoid it, though. Obama has seriously messed up, this time. Bringing Chicago politics to DC was bound to bite him in the butt at some point. Maybe this is it, but I’m doubtful.

For the most thorough coverage I can find on the issue, I have been relying on Michelle Malkin. She’s a true reporter and actually gives you the facts and then some. She should be considered a news source, as far as I’m concerned. But, that’s beside the point.

Got a call from the infamous Stacy McCain, though, who tells me this is a story that I can’t sit out. So, here I am, not sitting out.

Barack Obama, the One, has fired somebody with no real reason, violating the rules to actually fire somebody in this kind of position, apparently for no other reason than political gain or payback to a supporter.

That’s all fine and good, but the cynic in me is not as hopeful as some others I have spoken to. Barack Obama is worse than John Gotti, the original “Teflon Don.” He’s untouchable.

The media establishment is only willing to report stories about him that are positive or promote his policy agenda (re: All Obama Channel). The most devastating story reported about the guy up until now is that he killed a fly. And, they attributed that to the special abilities presidents must have (think G.W. dodging two shoes in a row). Apparently, not only is he a God, but he’s an effing ninja, too. As the opposition, how do you deal with that?

I’m not as hopeful that this will result in his downfall because, in my limited experience, Democrats can get away with anything. A republican has an affair and it’s the end of their career. A Democrat receives oral sex in the Oval Office and it’s the Republicans who come off stinking from the scandal (“They’re just obsessed with sex!). Teddy Kennedy killed a woman. He’s still praised today. His son, Patrick, drove into a barrier at 3 a.m.claiming he was late for a vote. They drove him home without administering any DUI tests and allowed him to claim that he was on Ambien, with numerous reports that he was drinking at the Hawk & Dove (a well know watering spot for people on the Hill), earlier. Didn’t he just check into rehab, again, this week? I guess that’s what RI expects from their elected representatives.

I’m young. I’ve lived a limited life in terms of years (I’ll be 28 in about a month), not experience. Sotomayor might be proud, I have a lot of “real life” experience (and, I’m a woman, to boot). That’s about it. I wasn’t around to see Nixon’s downfall, but–and this may be my cynicism–I don’t think Obama can do anything that will lead to his downfall. He has been compared to God, for God’s sake! (I apologize for taking the Lord’s name in vain.)

If the Clintons could walk away from all of their wrongdoing and end up where they are, I have full faith that the Obama’s will weather much better. There is a difference between Obama and Nixon. Obama is half-black, half-Muslim, and is viewed as the Second Coming of Christ. What I have to say is irrelevant. Most of America will either a) never read it; b) never believe it; or, c) never care. He’s buying their votes, like the Democrats usually do. Actually, as a taxpayer, I’m buying their votes for him. Let’s just be honest about it.

I’m sorry. Admittedly, I’m apparently an angry person, but I’m sick of putting all of the blame on politicians when they couldn’t be where they are and wielding the power they wield if it wasn’t for American citizens granting them that power, without deference. Lately, it seems to me, most Americans are just waiting for their own personal bailout, as if that bailout is coming from some fairy Godmother and not some young woman who has worked her butt off her whole life just to make a better life for herself. It makes me just a little sick. I’m just sayin’.

Obama is a scumbag, groomed and perfected in the politics of Chicago. For those who don’t know how dirty that city and state are visit your local library and check out a book about it. It’s been rampant with corruption since well before I was even a twinkle in my parents’ eyes.

For those of us who aren’t mesmerized by he who is Obama, we have a feel on the pulse that is the truth. He fired this guy because he was exposing one/two of Obama’s cronies. Even Democrats are speaking out about the improper protocol of Obama’s actions. But, that won’t matter. Democrats can do no wrong. It’s idealistic to think otherwise.

The Clintons couldn’t even eff with the Obamas. The MSM is in love. You think the measley response of conservative bloggers is really going to make a difference? I hope you’re right. Nothing else could explain why I’m so feversihly blogging about this, but at this point my faith in America has taken a serious blow.

A Democrat actually spoke out about it, but press reports about that letter are disappearing faster than water can evaporate from that Oklahoma lake that needs stimlus money for guard rails. And, that’s why my paranoia cynicism isn’t as unfounded as one might think.

  2. I agree completely. The Walpin case is such a blatant abuse of power (anyone with half a brain can see it), but you can bet your life that the Washington Post won’t be digging into it, there won’t be hearings, there won’t be a special prosecuter – this is the sad reality.

  3. [...] Update (06/20/09): The firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin is linked to all this too. There’s no question about it, and many on the “right” think they’ve found Obama’s achilles heal too. But I tend to agree with Monique Stuart, who says of the Lastest Victim of Obama and Chicago Politics: [...]
