The Sky is Falling…Again!
I guess Obama isn’t guilty of employing “scare tactics” in every legislative agenda he has pushed so far:
“If we don’t act, if we let this moment pass, we could see this economy sputter along for decades,” Obama said at the event that included questions from audience members and through interactive networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
“I want everybody to be well-enough informed so that the scare tactics of those who oppose reform won’t work,” he said in reference to Republican opponents who accuse him of seeking a government takeover of health care to create a nationalized system such as those in England and Canada. “Don’t let people scare you out of reforming a system we know is not working.”
Is it not a scare tactic when the President of the United States tells the public we have to act now and act as he says we have to or “we could see this economy sputter along for decades?” What about when he told us that we had to act now on the cap and tax bill or we would kill all of the polar beers? What about how we had to bail out the auto industry, immediately? I thought we couldn’t let them fail? Yet, aren’t they still failing? How about that stimulus package? We had to act fast to create all of those jobs, remember? Just ignore the fact the unemployment rate has still risen to 9.4 percent.
Obama is the poster-child for the “sky is falling.” No matter what the issue, we have to act NOW! If we don’t act immediately, and pass bills that are over a thousand pages, the sky will fall! America will crumble! We must listen to The One! Our Savior, Barack Obama, is here to save us from ourselves. Everyone else with legitimate concerns, oh well, they’re all just fear-mongering Republicans employing scare tactics. Come on, now! America, you must see the absurdity of all of this. How many different times, and about how many different issues, can he regurgitate the same rhetoric and get away with it?

Check his polls. They’re falling. I don’t think Obama can use his Chicken Little political strategy for too much longer. Still, the Left surprises sometimes.

I thought appeals to guilt and appeals to fear were the weapons of choice…
