Anti-abortion groups are launching a three week campaign against Obama’s health care reform:
A coalition of anti-abortion groups is set to open a new front against Democrats’ efforts to restructure American health care, claiming the plans open a back door to publicly financed abortions.
The groups, which are launching a broad campaign on the issue this week, claim that existing health care proposals constitute a stealth “abortion mandate” that will spend taxpayer money on abortions and require insurance companies to cover abortions — allegations that health care reform supporters call misleading.
“President Obama keeps on talking about common ground, and there is really, really common ground on funding issues,” said Charmaine Yoest, president of Americans United for Life, the group organizing the planned three-week campaign on the issue. “Almost no one wants to fund abortion, regardless of their position on abortion as a whole.”
As I said a couple of weeks back, this health care reform bill will lead to taxpayer funded abortion. Yoest is correct in the assertion that no matter how people feel personally about the issue, they almost all agree they don’t want their money being used for it. Democrats will deny that the health care bill authorizes the use of government funds for abortion and they’ll actually be telling the truth. The truth is, abortion is never mentioned in the bill. All of those pages and this very serious issue isn’t addressed.
I believe that this is being done on purpose. If language allowing taxpayer dollars to fund abortion was added to the bill, there would be outrage and opposition. The absence of the language leaves a huge whole in the bill that will lead to the use of our tax dollars to fund abortion. The only way to ensure that this doesn’t happen is for language to be added to the bill specifically prohibiting it.
Obama, who views the unborn as a punishment and thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to toss away babies who survive abortions as if they are nothing more than a piece of garbage and allow them to perish, has no problem with using my money to allow women to kill their unborn babies. I hope that the American public does and I hope they let their elected officials know this.

Beware of those who overly profess empathy as an important trait – as Obama does for a Supreme Court Judge. Usually they are completely lacking in it themselves – as witness his behaviour and speech in the Illinois senate when trying to discuss letting infants die. Cold. Obama certainly is missing the empathy chip.

The reluctance to insert language prohibiting public funding of abortion procedures, in any or all of the healthcare bills being debated by various committees on the Hill, is only equal in yuck factor to the language requiring “euthanasia counseling”. These people are monsters – typical eugenicists. “We will decide who is worthy to live.” Be afraid, be very afraid.
As I said on my blog – love yours BTW – how soon until we have mandatory genetic testing to determine the ability of the fetus to contribute to the collective? How soon after that before we must submit to testing before mating – again to determine only preferred offspring?

A sad day for conservatives if that’s true, and it probably sadly is true. It is supposed to be a tenet of gov operation as envisioned by the founders that enumerated rights are NOT needed because all NOT mentioned is forbidden to its grasp, but Dems and the twisted system they corrupted make this 180 out of phase. If abortion is not mentioned, it will be assumed that universal care COVERS this typically optional “operation” in the upside down world we are in, instead of them having to qualify that it IS covered under the plan.
In no way should people who oppose and assume abortion is taking life be forced to pay for others abortions, even the most “prochoice” person should agree, but sadly you’d be wrong. Liberals and other leftists already refuse to recognize this distinction on Embryonic stem cell research so why start now?

Manufactured outrage! You obediently hawked support for George W. Bush who allocated $2.2 Billion of tax payer dollars to Planned Parenthood. $2.2 Billion!!! That was more money than any Democrat administration since abortion was legalized.
Grow up!

I am outraged. With a one-trillion dollar bill crafted by the most pro-abortion President in American history, a lot of children will never get the chance to GROW UP!
I live less that two miles from the hospital that left babies to die in a closet if they survived an abortion attempt. Barry voted three times against legislation requiring medical care for those children. You wouldn’t want a hospital affiliated with Rev. Wright’s denomination punished with a baby, or a malpractice suit.
