No bipartisanship on health care? Blame the Republicans!

It’s the Republicans fault, of course:

President Obama now realizes he probably will have to pass health reform with few to no Republican votes, White House officials say.

That conclusion is a monumental shift in Washington’s biggest fight of the year, with the energy now shifting to differences among Democrats, rather than efforts to lure a critical mass of Republicans.

Officials in each party blamed the other for the collapse of any pretense of bipartisanship on the biggest domestic policy question in years.

The Obama aides say the go-it-alone stance is more a prediction of where things are heading than a shift in strategy. “We were forced into this by Republicans,” one official said.

This administration has made no efforts to bring Republicans to the table on this bill. What happened to bipartisanship? Weren’t we promised that during the campaign? I guess this was their plan all along. Write bills that no Republican could ever support and then blame them as if they are being the stubborn child. For some reason, I just don’t think the public is going to buy that this time around. And, if they do, it will only benefit the Republicans as the public is against this bill, anyway.

Let’s see, who benefits from being against this monstrous bill that the majority of Americans don’t want? Probably those who vote against it. People don’t care about bipartisanship. They want their interests represented. Whoever is against this bill is representing their interests. The Dems are screwing this up so badly all the Republicans have to do is sit back and wait for the votes to start coming in. I told you they could win by default.

  1. “People don’t care about bipartisanship. They want their interests represented.”

You’re 100% correct! All that “bi-partisan” BS, is nothing but politicos talking amongst themselves. It has nothing to do with the people.

I could care less about “bi-partisanship! From my perspective, it always means something bad is coming my way. Like you said, people only “want their interests represented.” And right now, Democrats aren’t representing the people’s interests.

I’m not sure they’re “screwing this up so badly” though. Progressives are tyrants, they care not what the people demand. Their only concern is POWER!

“We were forced into this by Republicans!”

Sure does make for a great campaign slogan, for the Republicans, that is … hehehe
