Most probably don’t know who this actress is. She caught my eye (really my ears, I love her voice!) when she palyed opposite Will Ferrel in elf. Yes, she was a blond back then.

Zooey Deschanel

I think that she is adorable and might be replacing Scarlett Johansson as my favorite actress. In fact, I think she already has.

  1. Played the romantic interest, Trillian, in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and is true-life sister to “Bones” from the TV show. A recording artist (and musician), you can find a CD on Amazon. Absolutely gorgeous eyes.

  3. You know, Mo, you’ve got better Rule 5 taste than a lot of the male bloggers out there.

  5. If you really like her voice, check out the animated film Surf’s Up. She voices a fairly major character, a lifeguard who has to deal repeatedly with a little kid who’s so taken with her that he repeatedly fakes drowning so she will rescue him. And the movie is absolutely hilarious (especially if you are familiar with surfing culture).

  6. I dig her.. Nice voice, very easy on the eyes.. and a good actress to boot.

One of the few good things to come out of the horrendous adaptation of THHGTTG movie.

  7. Someone has already mentioned Zooey’s singing career, but she’s good enough that I want to second the recommendation of her album (“Volume One”). Her group, “She and Him” has a delightful folk sound and her voice is truly fantastic. Definitely worth checking out.
