Meredith Viera contemplates murder on The Today Show
So, CNN.com reports that the suspected murderer of that Yale student is thought to be innocent by those who know him:
Raymond J. Clark III, charged with murder in the death of Yale graduate student Annie Le, was smart, amiable and loved his dog, say those who knew him.
One researcher said he often went by the lab in the Yale School of Medicine building where Le was found strangled and stuffed in a wall. Lufeng Zhang worked with Clark, he said, and thinks the police may have the wrong man.
“He’s a nice man, always,” he said.
Then, there’s this piece of trash who claims that he was mean, controlling, and abusive to his dogs:

Now, I don’t know if the guy is innocent or guilty, a nice guy or a jerk, but this woman who was featured on The Today Show is obviously a piece of trash just looking for her five seconds of fame, and it’s sad that The Today Show would give this garbage airtime, especially when the whole interview makes clear that she didn’t know these people and was just looking for an opportunity to get on TV. I think this is the first time I’ve ever felt sorry for Meredith Viera.
My first point is that she obviously didn’t know these people and did not befriend the girlfriend. If one of my neighbors moved I would probably know why, even if I only talk to them sporadically on the elevator or when we see each other in the hallway or getting our mail. I bet what happened was that on one occasion she tried to talk to the guy’s girlfriend and the guy, aggravated that he was being held up by this trash talking to his girlfriend, said “Let’s go! Hurry up!” I doubt this one encounter makes this woman an expert and I highly doubt there was really more than one encounter.
You have to be pretty stupid to make Mereidth Viera sound like an actual reporter and this woman accomplishes that task masterfully. Meredith pipes in after the woman makes the accusations mentioned above and says, “But, that doesn’t necessarily make him a murderer. Annmarie.” No, that doesn’t. In fact, if this woman were trying to talk to me she would probably be able to say that I didn’t have a nice word to say either because I would be trying to get away from her as quickly as possible, and I am not a murderer.
“Eyes are the window to the soul and there’s just nothing there,” Annmarie said, in her reasoning of why she supposedly feared for the girlfriend even though the guy was never abusive. She could just tell from her own life experience that he was controlling, based on that one encounter mentioned above that this woman is trying to portray as some sort of friendship with the girlfriend that it obviously wasn’t (who doesn’t have any clue why their firend moved?).
I love the fact that this woman is just grasping at straws to stay on TV a little bit longer.
“Um, he kept his dogs locked up, upstairs, all day long…um, he’s yelled at my children and um I addressed him and he just tried to stare me down…and, I didn’t like him. I didn’t like him from the day I met him.”
First of all, many people lock up their dogs during the day while they’re at work. So, I can’t fault him there. What should he have done, let them run wild? They lived in an apartment complex, it’s not like he could have just tied them up outside. As for him yelling at her children, even if it did happen I have a feeling that they deserved it and if someone’s children were behaving poorly enough for me to yell at them, and the worthless parent tried to address me about it, I would probably just stare at them, too.
Everything she says just sounds like garbage. She heard them yelling? What couple doesn’t yell at each other some times? And, she sounds mad that they were “very scheduled people.” Sorry, not all of us can be sitting at home all day collecting welfare. Also, if I lived where they lived I probably wouldn’t have family and friends over too much, either. It’s not like they lived in a nice place. It looked like the ghetto.
But, the video doesn’t really get funny until Meredith asks if she knows why they moved and she replies:
No, I don’t. I know that he didn’t like the apartment. And, it was a tiny apartment. They lived on the third floor, not the second floor. I know I’ve heard that. I live on the second floor.
I don’t know how any of that is indicative of him being capable of murder. Oh wait! As Meredith tried to close out the interview, the woman blurts out the proof that this guy is obviously capable of murder:
They had two pitbulls! Two pitbulls. I don’t know. Pitbulls are mean animals. And, I heard them yelping and barking and crying all day long…He abused his dogs.
I love how proud of herself this woman is, how she laughs as she throws random information out there that probably isn’t true, and don’t get me started on the head weaving. The most priceless part of the video is Meredith’s face. My favorite point is when Annmarie screamed out, in a moment of desperation to get as much air time as she could, “They had two pitbulls!” I think Meredith is actually wishing this woman was killed instead. You have to watch the whole thing. I can’t help but laugh.
For the record, I own a pitbull and I take offense to her labeling the entire breed as mean animals. They are not. And, ownership of a pitbull is not an indication of what a person is capable of. I mean, based on what this woman said I could be the murderer. It’s so embarrasing that this is who they put up there. See, Connecticut isn’t all rich snobs, country clubs, and trust fund babies and this woman is the proof. I get this woman’s motives, but could The Today Show really not find anyone better than this welfare mom? If ignorance is bliss it explains why this woman is so damn happy because she has to be one of the most ignorant people I’ve ever been subjected to.

I agree! I was stunned as I was watching this. Where the hell did they find her? She is obviously just grabbing camera time, and had nothing valuable to say to the media. It was obvious she didn’t know these people well, if at all, and she is making claims as to his personality, and how he treats his animals, etc. What a joke.

That lady obviously didn’t know anything and I think this is turning out to be one of those case that the cops want to close quickly because of the media hype on it so they are fabricating evidence against this guy to close the case
