BREAKING NEWS: Chicago is eliminated from 2016 Olympic bid
CNN is reporting right now that Chicago has been eliminated and is no longer in the running to host the 2016 Olympics. I am very happy about this. I have been hopeing Rio lands it, probably because I favor Brazil due to family relations.
My office mate was surprised at how happy I am about this. He asked, “I can’t believe that really hate Obama that much that would wish we didn’t get the Olympics.” But, hating Obama is not what this is about. Although, admittedly, it does make me a little bit happy when Obama’s ego gets checked.
It may be hard to believe, but I don’t like the Olympics. I just don’t care for them. I realize that this may be shocking to some people, but that’s just the way it is. So, now that that’s over: Go Rio!
