One Retarded Repubilcan vote = bipartisanship? Flag on the play!
Dems will claim bipartisanship if Olympia Snowe votes “yes” to the Baucus health care bill:
The only mystery left around the Senate Finance Committee’s health reform vote Tuesday is this:
What is Olympia Snowe thinking?
Snowe is the last Republican left who might vote for Chairman Max Baucus’s bill — holding the key to whether Democrats can claim bipartisan support, or must go it alone.
She’s been cagey, but consistent. Snowe doesn’t like the bill’s penalties for people who don’t buy insurance. But she likes the overall price tag, well under $1 trillion. She’s even hinted at casting one vote in committee and a different vote on the floor.
If all it takes is one vote from a member of the opposing party to claim bipartisanship, then I think G. W. Bush probably has Obama beat as being a far more bipartisan president. But, as with just about every other issue in American politics, there’s a double standard at play and The One will always get more credit than Bush, even though Obama is clearly becoming one of the most divisive presidents ever. Oh well! To heck with the reality of the situation. Let’s stick with that liberal narrative.
Eff Olympia Snowe. She is going to vote for this bill because she’s a liberal idiot with an “R” after her name, which clearly does not stand for Republican. Perhaps retarded? One can’t be sure, but the evidence is surely mounting quickly for the latter.
This is not a bipartisan bill and it really doesn’t matter how many Republicans vote for it. Since Republican input was not solicited or incorporated in the formulating process it cannot be considered a bipartisan bill, even if some (and I’m being generous here since we’re clearly only talking about one person) vote for it. That just means there are more Republican suckers than I was hoping for who are buying into the MSM and Democrat lie that the American people want bipartisanship just for the sake of having bipartisanship. That is not what they want. They want bipartisanship when that means both sides compromise in order to reach the best interests of the American people. Unfortunately, the only people that seem to benefit from bipartisanship in DC are the politicians, themselves.
At this point, I don’t care whether or not Olympia Snowe votes for the bill. We already know that the Democrats are prepared to force this on the American people no matter what. I have more faith in the public than these elites in DC have. The American publici sn’t going to buy that this was bipartisan because you got one liberal Republican to vote for it. How stupid do you think we all are, seriously?
