Americans aren’t too good to pick up garbage, but they’re too good to pick fruit? I’m calling Bullsh*t!

CNNMoney has an article today about how our health care may change, now that the government controls it. I’m so psyched the government is forcing companies to cover all of this! I can’t wait for my premiums to go up so that punk kids who can’t grow up and become independent can be covered by mommy and daddy’s insurance utnil their 26. Grrr!
And, as an unintended consequence, insurance companies will be dropping child-only plans to avoid the ridiculously burdensome new rules that could lead to astronomical costs placed on their business–potentially forcing them out of business. The think that these new initiatives will create the incentive for parents to wait until a child is already sick before getting them insurance, raising the costs to the insurance company while lowering their revenue. Oh, Obamacare. The good news just keeps on coming!

The Republicans came out with their “Pledge to America,” yesterday. Oh boy! Why bother? We’re not that stupid. These Republicans are the same ones that have been screwing us for years. Let’s get rid of them and start fresh. Doug Ross critiques it and then offers the only pledge that matters: sticking to the Constitution and only voting for laws that are aligned with the Constitution that they are sworn to uphold and protect. But, as we all know, this isn’t about America or the Constitution. This isn’t even about We the People. This is about a bunch of power hungry politicians looking to score votes thanks to the Democrats overreach. Neither political party is representative of me. The Constitution is representative of me. All I want is for the people elected and sworn to uphold and protect that document is to do that specific job, whichever party their from. They just aren’t getting that, yet.
I love Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey. He has cut off state funding of Planned Parenthood abortion services in the state(yay!) and now the first facility run by the baby killing giant is being closed. I have never made it a secret that I am against abortion, especially taxpayer funded abortion. The fact that the facility would be forced to close as a result of this action goes to show how tax dollars are constantly being wasted and misused. No body should be forced to pay for someone else to murder their unborn child.

I am starting to hate Matt Lauer of The Today Show. Once again, I don’t know why I start my day with that show on in the background other than to get myself all riled up and worked into a tizzy. This morning, they were talking about how the founder of Facebook is going to donate $100 million dollars to the failed school district in Newark, NJ. The school district that currently pays $20,000 per student, one of the highest amounts in the country, and still maintains some of the lowest test scores. Lauer’s big concern was why the kid is donating this money. Who cares what his motives are? I never hear them ask that question when it’s Bill and Melinda Gates or Warren Buffet or George Soros. A better question, which was addressed later but not by Lauer, is whether or not this is wise. Clearly, throwing money at this school district isn’t solving the problem. I’m sure that money could be better spent. He can give it to me and I promise I won’t ask why and can find better ways to help more children than pouring money into a school district that won’t know what to do with it, anyway.
“Comedian” Stephen Colbert will be testifying on Capitol Hill, today, about illegal immigrants, promoting th line of reasoning that we need illegal immigrants because they do the jobs Americans won’t do. Garbage! Americans won’t do those jobs for the salaries being paid to illegal immigrants, because those salaries are ridiculously low. First of all, illegal aliens aren’t even being paid minimum wage because their employers don’t have to pay them that. They’re illegals. They also don’t have to pay all of the other payroll taxes associated with their illegal, off-the-books employees. There is a reason employers hire them in the first place. Americans aren’t too good to pick up garbage, but they’re too good to pick fruit? That’s nonsense. Doesn’t Congress have better things to waste their time on than listening to this idiot? I guess not. Votes these people out!

Forget burning Qurans and let’s initiate a “Burn Meghan McCain’s Book Day!”
Tuesday, September 7, 2010
The Today Show, this morning, was playing a clip of President Obama speaking to union thugsmembers, yesterday. He was talking about those nasty Republicans leaving people out in the wilderness to fend for themselves. Now, this message might resonate with union members as they know they would never survive out in that wilderness, but I think most Americans would welcome the chance to be left to themselves. Agree with the Tea Party movement or not, the message most Americans have been trying to send DC is get off our backs. In fact, they are saying it more loudly and openly than they ever have before. What has Obama’s big government philosophy done for me? Saddled me with debt! If fending for myself means lower taxes because everyone else is fending for themselves and I’m not being taxed to support them then, please, show me the path back out to that wilderness! If what Obama and the Democrats think what they’re offering is civilization, I would prefer the wilderness every day of the week.
There’s a pastor down in Florida who is going to burn copies of the Quran on Saturday, September 11. Now, I wonder if all of those Ground Zero Mosque (GZM) supporters who comment on this will defend his right to free speech and religion and not comment on the wisdom and lack of sensitivity of having a “Burn the Quran Day.” Let’s see President Barack Hussein Obama put his nose in this one, like he did when he commented on the GZM. I would love to hear this quote from BHO: “Christians have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. That includes the right to burn copies of the Quran on private property in Florida, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable.” Hahahahaha! Don’t hold your breath for that one!
Wednesday, September 8, 2010
And, of course, the White House and the rest of the MSM are not supporting the pastor’s free speech right to burn copies of the Quran. Shocker! I dont’ agree with burning the Quran. Just as I wouldn’t agree with burning copies of the Bible, but this is the point that the pastor is trying to make. If you were to announce a “Burn the Bible Day” there wouldn’t be Christians rioting in the streets, advocating a holy war against you, etc., as you have seen with the “Burn the Quran Day.” This pastor, whether we like it or not or whether we think it is wise or advisable or not, has the right to do this. Kind of like those terrorist supporting Muslims behind the GZM have the right to build the GZM. Are either of these wise decisions? No, they are not. Do I support either of these initiatives? No, I do not. But, I understand that they have a right to do it and I respect that right. I mean, let me get this straight. People have a constitutional right to burn the American flag but not copies of the Quran? Are you kidding me? Ain’t tolerance grand?
Let us all review what the First Amendment actually states, verbatim:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Since the Supreme Court has protected the burning of American flags as free speech, I’m pretty sure the burning of the Quran should be protected, too. So, following the same rules of acceptability applied to Muslims trying to build a Mosque so close to Ground Zero–that all that matters is their right to do so, never mind their insensitivity for doing so–it would seem that the MSM and Obama Administration really need to start accepting this pastor’s proposed “Burn the Quran Day.”
Speaking of books that should be burned, Meghan McCain is out promoting her new book, Dumpy, Stupid, Promiscuous Dirty, Sexy, Politics. Of course, she bashed Sarah Palin in the book–because that’s the quickest way to be accepted by the liberal press and Hollywood–talking about how panicked she was when John McCain announced Palin as his running mate. Of course she was panicked, there was no food on the stage! Picking Sarah Palin as his running mate was one of the best things McCain did during the campaign. If Meghan truly doesn’t see that after every Palin-backed candidate in recent elections has won, then it’s time to stuffshut her mouth and stay home. You don’t even have to like Palin to see she was the better half of that ticket. If Meghan is too stupid to realize that then she should stop talking about politics since she clearly doesn’t get them.
Finally, for today, Michael J. Fox is asking for the federal government to fund stem cell research. Now, I love Michael J. Fox. And, it greatly upsets me that he is suffering from Parkinson’s, but my sympathy will not allow me to be guilted into supporting stem cell research. Furthermore, the federal government does not have the constitutional authority to take my money through taxation to fund this research, which I find morally reprehensible. He’s rich and famous. Let him put his own money toward the cause. That is his right to do so, just as it is my right to donate my money to the causes of my choosing. It is not the government’s right to take my money and spend it on causes preferred by one group at the expense of another. Prohibiting federal funding of stem cell research isn’t prohibiting stem cell research all together. It just means they have to solicit contributions from private donors rather than robbing taxpayers. Let’s not confuse the debate.

My mom and I rarely agree on anything. Well, there’s illegal immigration–which aggravates her more than me since she is a legal immigrant who remembers coming over from Holland with her parents–and, now there’s the mosque at Ground Zero, too. And, she’s not the only person I typically don’t agree with who I have found a common ground with on this issue. It’s funny because contrary to what the political elite and media keep saying, we all understand and agree that they have a right to build the mosque, yet we all think it’s a slap in America’s face for them to do so and ridiculously insensitive. We also agree that the pastor down in Florida who is hosting a “Burn the Quran Day” on September 11 isn’t doing the right thing, but also isn’t responsible for the actions of others in response to his p”demonstration.” By this, I mean, this pastor and his book burning is not responsible for crazy Muslim terrorists who react by blowing things, places, people and themselves up.
Imam Rauf, the man behind the mosque, was on Larry King Live, last night. I didn’t watch the show, but I saw clips of the interview this morning on The Today Show. He claims it never dawned on him that building a mosque so close to Ground Zero would have stirred up so much outrage from those “radicals.” And, I guess he means by radicals about 60-70 percent of New Yorkers and the American public since that’s the percentage of people against building the mosque there in every opinion poll conducted. He claims he would move it, but it’s too late now and he just can’t let all of those radicals win. That’s garbage. He can and should choose a different location. Label me what you want for that. Islam is a religion of peace? Fine. The peaceful thing to do is not build a mosque on such hallowed ground. Get the steppin’, bitch!
Rauf was also advising Christians on what the “Christian thing to do is” in response to the middle finger he plans to build. Um, a note to Christians: Please, don’t take religious advice from religious leaders of other religions, especially religious leaders of religions that wish to wipe your religion out. That’s like Republicans and conservatives taking political advice from Meghan McCain liberals and the MSM. They don’t have your best interests at heart. They are exploiting your religious doctrine and beliefs to silence and defeat you.

That pastor in Florida says he’s not going to burn Qurans, or he is if his demands aren’t met by Imam Rauf–mainly, to move the site of the proposed GZM. But, we know from Rauf’s threat the other night that’s not going to happen. Donald Trumpt has offered to buy the land, but the owners say they aren’t taking the offer seriously. Of course not! That would defeat their purpose. The people behind this mosque have known what they were doing all along. As long as they are allowed to proceed and build it, it will be built. Unfortunately, it’s something we’re going to have to get used to. Then again, our annual protests outside of it every September 11 will be something they will forced to get used to. Isn’t freedom grand?
Michelle Malkin has a column up, today, about Muslim rage. Question to those who continue to defend the “religion of peace” at their fellow citizens peril: When are Muslim’s not enraged? What can us non-Muslims do, other than die, that wouldn’t enrage them? And, even if our actions do enrage them, why do people feel that justifies their violence and terrorism against us? Any regular reader of this blog knows that Meghan McCain enrages me, but that isn’t an excuse for me to punch her in the face when I meet her. I’m sick of Americans thinking that we can appease the “Religion of Blowing Americans to Pieces.” I’m not saying that we should go out of our way to provoke them but, unlike our President, I don’t bow to anyone.
Meghan McCain, trying to grab fame and attention the only way she knows how–other than having sex with any man willing as a result of sporting a serious pair of beer goggles–was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, last night, and couldn’t resist doing her obligatory Palin-bashing–which is the only reason the left cares about her book, anyway–so I guess she’s on the right path. Not content on attacking Sarah, this time she went after Bristol. This, from the chick who has argued that herself, her mother, and her siblings should be left alone since they aren’t the ones running for office. The campaign wanted Little Miss Fat-Slutty-Fat-Fat to get her image re-did by an image consultant, because her image as a dumb, fat, slut with a trashy mouth was bad for the campaign. She told Stewart:
“I was sent to an image consultant,” she told Stewart, admitting that she wasn’t on her best behavior or acting as she should while on the campaign trail. “But when you’re sent to an image consultant and [it's] said that you look like a stripper and you talk bad and you’re hurting the campaign when there’s a pregnant teen there, it does a little bit to your self esteem.”
I’m not excusing Bristol Palin for her foolishness in becoming a pregnant teen. People make mistakes, though, and Bristol has since spent her time trying to be a good role model, speaking to teens across the country about premarital sex, teen motherhood, and promoting abstinence. Yes, she did get pregnant, out of wedlock, by her boyfriend who is also the man she lost her virginity to. At least she knew who the father was.
Note to Meghan: No fat chick has any business dressing like a stripper. And we all know that if Meghan McCain became pregnant we could expect to see her on the next episode of Maury Povich testing the hundredth man to find out whether or not he is the father, only to hear Maury read those infamous words, “Joe Smith, you are NOT the father!” I’m adding to my growing list of reasons why I hate Meghan McCain that even with all of the money and opportunity she has grown up with, she still has no class. This just, once again, proves my point that money can’t buy class and the McCain’s would go broke and die trying with their gem of a daughter, Meghan. Why won’t she just go away, already?
I just finished reading Thomas Sowell’s book The Housing Boom and Bust. I love Sowell’s books because he explains economics and why the policies promoted and passed by our sleazy politicians don’t work in such a simple, easy to understand way. I recommend everyone read this book, as well as every other book written by this man. He effectively shows how government continuously screws us through policies they claim will help us. It’s the weekend so read a book!

Should I file a civil rights complaint?
Monday, August 30, 2010
Moron Meghan McCain wrote a blog post last week about how proud she is of Arizona for renominating her father on the Republican ticket in the Senate race. I’m not as happy about this development. She is right about one thing, her father hasn’t changed. And, although the media has gone back and forth in their coverage of him (loving him when he’s a help to their cause, hating him when he’s trumpeting policies and positions that are a threat), the truth is, although her father hasn’t changed, the way he represents himself has. Don’t be fooled, as the Arizonans who voted for him clearly were. McCain is a liberal snake who doesn’t belong on the Republican ticket, if the Republican Party is ever to get back to what it’s supposed to represent. He campaigned to the right of his record in this primary. He spent $21 million, compared to his opponent’s $3 million. That is why he won. He used his riches to fool the electorate and they sold their votes. Bad news for Arizona and bad news for the rest of America.
All of the “Katrina-Five Years Later” coverage forgot to address a very important question: Should we be rebuilding in all of the areas destroyed? I mean, is it tragedy or stupidity when this all happens again after another storm? I’m not trying to be rude or insensitive. And, people have a right to rebuild and live there if they want, but not at my expense.
President Obama was talkin’ trash today to Senate Republicans trying to block a “small business assistance bill.” Apparently, he doesn’t get the fact that it’s his laws, his words and his party that are killing small businesses in America. If you want to help small business to create jobs and start hiring again how about getting out of their way, eliminating regulation that impedes their chances of success?

Maybe this should be a sign that you aren’t ready to retire, yet:
If you are an employer, you know how difficult it can be to find – and provide– health insurance for your retired employees who are age 55 or older and not yet eligible for Medicare.
Some Americans who retire before they are eligible for Medicare see their life savings disappear because of medical bills and exorbitant rates in the individual health insurance market. And the cost of insurance can be out of reach for individuals looking to buy health coverage on their own.
Many employers would like to help their employees make this transition comfortably and provide access to health insurance past retirement. But in these tough economic times, it is difficult for employers to keep up with skyrocketing health care costs for employees and retirees.
The Affordable Care Act’s Early Retiree Reinsurance Program will make it a little easier for employers to provide high-quality health benefits to their retirees.
Early Retiree Reinsurance Program is a $5 billion program created by the Affordable Care Act to provide financial assistance for employers, including large and small businesses, state and local governments, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and labor unions that will help retirees and their spouses, surviving spouses, and dependents, as well active employees and their families, continue to have access to quality, affordable health coverage.
Of course, the problem could be solved if the government didn’t tie health insurance to employment, but the White House doesn’t want to tell you that part. Maybe they shouldn’t be retiring so early? Just another thought, although I clearly would prefer the government getting out of the insurance business, de-regulation, and the market reacting by offering us consumers more, cheaper solutions.
Breaking News: Some man who hates people just took hostages at the Discovery Channel building up in Silver Spring, MD. People polute the earth, according to his manifesto, and he wants the DC to stop airing shows that promote human breeding, preferring shows that promote sterilization, instead. First thought: he should kill himself. That would remove at least one human and would prove that one man can make a difference!
Thursday, September 2, 2010
So, James Lee, the man who took the hostages at the DC was killed by police. All hostages made it out safely. Thank goodness for that!
I noticed that the Civil Rights Division at work has no Caucasians on the staff. Now, normally I wouldn’t think anything of it. But, if there’s one thing I have learned about race in America it is that where there is racial disparity there can only be racial discrimination as the cause. I have heard this argument time and again from the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and even Elena Kagan. So, I’m thinking about filling a complaint. Thoughts?
There was a story this morning on The Today Show about a man who jumped off a 40-story building in a suicide attempt only to survive after a $14,000 Dodge Charger broke his fall. The owner of the vehicle is upset with the guy and wants to ask him why her car, out of all the cars in the city? Talk about insensitive! The man tried to kill himself and all of this woman cares about is some car, which will be paid for by her insurance. She was upset that she just had the brakes fixed and had filled it up with gas. The fact that someone could be so small and selfish is surprising enough; the fact that she would be so brazen as to admit it to the press is astounding.

I sometimes think I watch The Today Show in the morning because it gets my blood boiling faster than a hot cup of coffee. This morning they spent a segment talking about Gov. Jan Brewer’s 16 second brain freeze during a debate. Who the eff cares? Is that really news? I don’t think so, but maybe it belongs on The Today Show since most of what they “report” isn’t news.
I just finished reading this book, America’s Hidden History, this morning. Just a quick read to hold me over until some new books arrive. I should be picking those up today. I don’t think most Americans realize the magnificence that is the American experiment. Too many people have no grasp on the uniqueness of what happened centuries ago in Pennsylvania and how truly amazing our republican form of democracy really is, and why we have a republic instead of a democracy. Well, maybe that’s why we really don’t have a republic anymore but have digressed into a democracy. Admittedly, I’m not a big history buff, but the more I read about American and world history, the more I realize the greatness and significance of America and the more thankful I am to be a citizen of this great nation. It’s a long weekend. I encourage everyone to go out and read a book.
The job’s report is out and the press is claiming there is a silver lining: it’s not as bad as was predicted! How’s that for good news? Following this kind of logic, I predict I’m going to gain 20 lbs this month and when I only gain 10 I’m going to pat myself on the back and eat a piece of cheesecake as my reward for doing better than I had predicted. This BEGS the question: How stupid do they think we are?
